The main reason for selecting a 65 mm scale over a 150 mm scale is size constraints.
Your application may require a compact size flow meter. Selection of a 150mm scale size offers better resolution.

Housing Material ::
Model S rotameters are available with Aluminum, Brass, or 316 Stainless Steel housing material and fittings. The choice of housing material will depend on the type of fluid (gas or liquid) being used with the rotameter.

Valve ::

• No valve frame, with flow tube - complete rotameter frame and flow tube with no valve port
• No valve frame, no flow tube - complete rotameter frame only; no flow tube included and no valve port
• No valve, frame with valve port seal plug, with flow tube - complete rotameter frame with valve port for future valve installation (valve port has a removable seal plug) and flow tube
• No valve, frame with valve port seal plug, no flow tube - complete rotameter frame with valve port for future valve installation (valve port has a removable seal plug); no flow tube included
• CV™ valve at inlet, with flow tube - complete rotameter frame, flow tube, and CV™ (needle) valve installed at the inlet of the rotameter.
• CV™ valve at outlet, with flow tube - complete rotameter frame, flow tube, and CV™ (needle) valve installed at the outlet of the rotameter. This configuration is useful in vacuum applications.
• MFV™ valve at inlet, with flow tube - complete rotameter frame, flow tube, and MFV™ (high precision metering) valve installed at the inlet of the rotameter.
• MFV™ valve at outlet, with flow tube - complete rotameter frame, flow tube, and MFV™ (high precision metering) valve installed at the outlet of the rotameter. This configuration is useful in vacuum applications.

Seals ::
As with your choice of housing material, model S rotameters are available with Buna-N, EPR, PTFE/Kalrez®, and Viton-A® seals and o-rings.

With Aluminum or Brass housing material, Buna-N is the default seal material (Viton-A® for flow tube packings). Stainless steel housing material has Viton-A® as it s default.

You may order in any desired configuration (prices may vary). The choice of seals will depend on the type of fluid (gas or liquid) being used with the rotameter.

Fittings ::
There are a variety of end fittings available for you to choose from. 1/8 inch FNPT fittings (inlet and outlet) are a standard option.

Optical Sensor ::
Model S rotameters are available with an Optical Sensor Switch. This is a noninvasive means for detection of HI or LOW flow. The sensor is ideal for signaling an alarm, cutoff valve or other device when the float passes the detector (alarm, valve, etc. not included). This option is only available on single flow tube rotameters.
